To open a resident personal account with DES you need:
- An Introduction letter from a reputable bank.
- Photocopy of IDs.
- Photocopy of Iraqi nationality Certification.
- Photocopy of Habitation card

* Min Balance required:

CUA IQD 1,000,000
USD 1,000
SSV IQD 500,000
USD 500

- Source of funds that will be credited into account.

* If balances fall below this minimum balance, customers will be charged IQD
1,500 / USD 1 per month.
To open a non resident personal account you need:
- Group Introduction form (If an HSBC customer) or an Introduction
letter from a reputable bank.
- A photocopy of a valid passport.
- Minimum Deposit Required of:

USD 100,000 or equivalent in other currencies and need
to be placed on a minimum 6 months time deposit.
